JUNE 2014 SUPPER CLUB: SHARON AND DAVE JOIN THE FUN!!!!

Our June get-together is at our newest Supper Club members' home - Sharon and Dave's!

After a long unusually cold winter we've had in Atlanta, it'll be nice to enjoy warm temperatures with our friends.

The menu and good times to follow....but rumor has it that there'll be ribs and fried shrimp~

UPDATE!
Unfortunately my husband and I were unable to attend this month's supper club.  Sharon and Dave hosted a cookout extravaganza!  Here is the menu that my friends' enjoyed:

Mini crab cakes on toast (Sharon) 
Ribs with 3 different BBQ sauces(Sharon)
fried shrimp with an assortment of dipping sauces(Sharon), 
corn on the cob (Guptons), 
Coleslaw (Wendy), 
Potato Salad (Denise)
English custard cups topped with fruit (Sharon)
Margaritas were the cocktail of the evening


COLESLAW

1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil, eyeball it
1 sack, 16 ounces, shredded cabbage mix for slaw salads (Wendy used angel hair slaw)
1 teaspoon salt
Salt and pepper

Mix vinegar and sugar. Add oil. Add cabbage to dressing and season with salt and pepper. Toss with fingers to combine. Adjust seasoning. Let stand 20 minutes. Re-toss and serve.

I HEAR that it was a fabulous evening with really great food.  All sounds yummy!  I hate we had to miss....

We'll be there in 2 months however when our friends Russell and Sheila are hosting an August get-together of our little supper club!  Until then.....
